The project to develop a European-style spa and resort on the Golden Harbor site in District 9 of Incheon Songdo International City has officially begun with the selection of an architectural design firm following the selection of a project manager (PM).
Terme Group Korea (TGK) held a signing ceremony for the ‘Golden Harbor Wellbeing Spa & Resort AoR (Official Architectural Design Firm) contract’ with Sunjin P&I and Haeahn Architecture on the 4th.
The contract signing ceremony on this day was attended by TGK Chairman Kim In-sook and Vice President Han Yun-jin, Sunjin P&I CEO Lee Sang-hak and Executive Director Lee Sang-hwa, Haeahn Architecture CEO Yoon Se-han and Director Lee Jae-myung, among others. TGK plans to invest 850.8 billion won to develop the Golden Harbor Wellness Spa & Resort, featuring a glass dome design, on two plots (99,041.6㎡) within the Golden Harbor site. To this end, the company signed a basic business agreement with the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority on September 29, and following the completion of the submission of the performance guarantee bond, it will begin full-scale design work. The goal is to open in 2030.

Prior to this AoR selection, TGK selected Sunjin P&I as the PM to oversee the entire development process.
Lee Sang-hak, CEO of Seonjin P&I, stated, “We have established a solid framework for the development project and have officially launched it,” adding, “We will lead the success of the Golden Harbor Wellness Spa & Resort development together with partner companies possessing outstanding capabilities in each field.”
Haeahn Architecture has been entrusted with the blueprint design by collaborating with an overseas design firm (MVRDV) under an AoR contract. Haeahn Architecture is recognized for possessing industry-leading capabilities in concretizing designs tailored to domestic conditions. Based on extensive development experience in numerous architectural designs—including hotels, resorts, as well as residential, commercial, research, and hospital projects—the firm plans to swiftly provide a development blueprint for the Golden Harbor Wellness Spa & Resort.
Yoon Se-han, CEO of Haeahn Architecture, stated, “This project will be an important opportunity to demonstrate the international competitiveness of Korean architecture,” adding, “We will combine world-class design capabilities with domestic experience to make Songdo Golden Harbor a representative landmark for well-being and leisure.”
